The Minister of Interior and Municipalities, Ahmed Al-Hajjar, presented with the President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, the current political situation, where it was emphasized to support the steps taken by the President of the Republic with the aim of strengthening security and stability in Lebanon.
The meeting discussed the decision of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to resume receiving Lebanese exports, as both sides welcomed this step, considering that it reflects confidence in President Aoun and the Lebanese government, and in the measures taken by the Ministry of Interior and the security services during the last period.
The discussion also touched on the security situation in the country, where Al-Hajjar stressed the essential role played by the security services at the current stage, informing the President of the Republic of the security measures and procedures implemented by the Ministry in preparation for the start of work at Rene Moawad Airport in Klayaat.
The Minister of the Interior confirmed that the security services will continue to enhance their deployment and take the necessary measures in various Lebanese regions, especially in the capital, Beirut, to maintain security and stability.
