Apple CEO Tim Cook revealed the company’s intention to raise the prices of its future products, explaining that this step has become inevitable to compensate for the sharp rise in the costs of memory and storage chips resulting from the rapid boom in artificial intelligence technology and data centers.

Cook explained in an interview with the Wall Street Journal that Apple has made every effort to bear the additional financial burden and protect its customers from price increases throughout the recent period, but the continuation of the current situation has become unsustainable in light of the fierce competition for supplies of key components.

Cook did not specify the value of the expected increase or the list of devices that will be affected by it, but technology sector reports indicate that iPhone, iPad, and Mac devices will be at the forefront of the products that will witness an increase in prices, coinciding with the company’s preparations to launch the “iPhone 18” series of phones and the new generation of its smart devices.
