The Russian expert pointed out that rebooting the smartphone periodically not only contributes to improving performance, but also helps reduce risks associated with cybersecurity.
Russian RT channel, Bederov pointed out that during continuous operation the system accumulates temporary errors, memory leaks and problems related to data processing. He added that regular rebooting allows for cleaning RAM, stopping processes running in the background, and reformatting device drivers and network connections.
He added that this process may also contribute to disabling some active malware, explaining that some spyware and malicious advertisements operate from random memory without installing themselves deeply within the file system, which makes their continued operation more difficult after rebooting the device.
Bederov warned that not restarting the phone regularly may lead to a decline in performance, and the emergence of problems such as slow user interface, application crashes, delayed camera operation, and keyboard freezes.
He stressed that rebooting also helps activate some security updates that do not take effect until the device is rebooted, indicating that delaying this step may keep some security vulnerabilities open for a longer period.
