MP Salim Al-Sayegh believed that the timing of the Iranian strike raises major question marks, asking: “Why now?”, in light of the rapid field and political developments in the region.
In a post on the “X” platform, Al-Sayegh considered that Israel had reached the Litani River and destroyed everything on its way without Iran taking action, and had also targeted the southern suburb of Beirut a few days ago without an Iranian response.
He added that Israel is preparing on the ground to reach Al-Zahrani, and is devoting day after day what he described as “its clear victory in the field,” while the diplomatic track is witnessing a movement led by Washington towards complete disengagement with Tehran, which “made it lose its mind and unleashed its media against the President of Lebanon,” as he put it.
Al-Sayegh considered that Iran has suffered two losses, and may face a third loss in the course of Islamabad and the nuclear file, stressing that Israel made a mistake in attacking, and Iran made a mistake in responding.
He concluded by saying that “the missile war disrupts all paths and does not affect the field, and it also returns solutions to point zero.”
