On Monday, the southern Lebanon front witnessed a remarkable field escalation with Hezbollah announcing the implementation of a series of successive military operations against Israeli positions and forces, distributed between southern Lebanon and northern Israel, coinciding with the intensification of battles in the vicinity of Beaufort Castle.

The “Islamic Resistance” statements announced during the day showed the implementation of 25 various operations, which included targeting Israeli gatherings, vehicles, and forces in Shaqif, Dibbin, Qantara, Al-Quzah, Taibe, and Metulla, in addition to bombing the Kiryat Shmona settlement and Israeli military headquarters with missiles and assault drones.

Beaufort Castle emerged as one of the most prominent areas of the confrontation, as the party announced that it had targeted gatherings of Israeli soldiers in the vicinity of the castle several times within a few hours, coinciding with the publication of a lengthy statement in which it confirmed that the Israeli forces were facing difficulties in establishing their presence in the region after penetrating it from the eastern side.

The party also announced the targeting of Israeli sites and vehicles in Dibin, Qantara, and Al-Qozah, in addition to a leadership headquarters in the Yaara barracks, using a squadron of assault drones, and the “Iron Dome” platform in the Metulla site, in addition to carrying out operations against concentrations of soldiers in Kiryat Shmona.

In parallel with ground and missile operations, the party announced twice that it had responded to two Israeli “Hormuz 450” drones in the skies of the Bekaa and the western sector with surface-to-air missiles.

This escalation comes at a time when the southern front is witnessing one of its hottest stages since the beginning of the confrontations, with the continuation of intense Israeli raids on large areas of the south and the Bekaa, in conjunction with Israeli ground operations in the vicinity of Shaqif and Wadi Saluki.

The Shaqif area is of great strategic importance due to its high location overlooking large areas of southern Lebanon and northern occupied Palestine, which made it a major focus of battles in recent days, amid the exchange of narratives between Hezbollah and Israel about the reality of control and positioning in the region.
