The Israeli army escalated its military messages towards Lebanon, confirming the continuation of its operations in various regions, from the southern suburb of Beirut to the city of Tyre, with a special focus on the Shaqif area, which it considers one of Hezbollah’s most prominent strongholds in the south.

In a series of statements and accompanying statements published by the Israeli army spokeswoman, Ella Wawiyah, on the “X” platform, the army confirmed that it is continuing its operations to remove what it describes as the Hezbollah threat and establish a “new security reality” along the border, extending from the Shaqif and Wadi Saluki areas to beyond the Litani River.

The Israeli army claimed that more than 400 launching operations had been carried out from the Shaqif area since the start of the war, considering that the area constitutes a major center for Hezbollah, and that controlling it carries great operational and military importance.

He stressed that his forces will continue the attack in various parts of Lebanon, from the southern suburbs of Beirut to Tyre, indicating that the current operations aim to tighten the noose on Hezbollah’s capabilities and deepen the strikes directed at it.

These statements come at a time when violent battles continue in the vicinity of Shaqif and Wadi Saluki, as Israel has sent large military reinforcements to the region over the past few days, supported by air strikes and intense artillery shelling.

The Beaufort Heights are considered one of the most prominent strategic locations in southern Lebanon, due to its location overlooking large areas of the south and the Litani River, which makes it a focal point in any military confrontation taking place in the region.

The Israeli statements also come in conjunction with increasing threats to expand the scope of military operations to include additional areas inside Lebanon, at a time when international efforts continue to contain the escalation and prevent the confrontation from sliding into a broader war.

The latest positions reflect the continued Israeli bet on military pressure to achieve field and security goals, in exchange for Hezbollah’s commitment to continuing the confrontation on the southern front, which keeps the scene open to further developments during the next stage.
