In a remarkable security development in the Chouf area, the security forces were able to arrest a group of young men of Syrian nationality in the town of Marsti, after suspicion of their activities and movements inside the town, where they were found in possession of a drone plane.

Mukhtar, the town of Marsti El -Shoufia, Nasri Bashoq, confirmed, in an interview with “Libanon Deepite”, that “all the elements of the cell and their number were six, after three of them tried to escape, as two of them were arrested immediately, and the third was arrested later.”

He explained that “the group was related to a Syrian factor residing in the town, and they came from the town of Battar, and they stayed in his home, and their presence and their unusual moves raised the suspicions of a number of my children, which led them to report them, to be pursued and arrested in cooperation with the security services.”

He pointed out that “they were found in possession of a Drone plane intended for photography, who used it to photograph sites inside the town, and they were handed over with the seizures to the Al -Mukhtara police station, where the army’s intelligence investigated them to find out the full circumstances.”

Al -Mukhtar stressed that “the situation requires attention and vigilance from everyone, and we are awaiting what the investigations will reveal about the intentions of this group and the backgrounds of its presence in the region.”

In response to a question about the possibility of an association between this group and the ongoing events in As -Suwayda, he explained that “the issue is still under investigation, and nothing can be confirmed at this stage.”

He concluded by saying: “We have no problem with the displaced Syrian brothers, and we deal with them with respect and love, but in light of the sensitive conditions, everyone must be cautious and assume individual responsibility, because security is a collective responsibility.”
