Member of the “Loyalty to the Resistance” bloc, MP Hassan Ezzedine, confirmed that the Islamic Republic of Iran is experiencing “a moment of diplomatic, political and military victory,” considering that it has become “one of the major countries that will participate in shaping the new world,” while he attacked the recent US sanctions on Lebanese figures, describing them as “shameless interference” and undermining Lebanese sovereignty.
Izz al-Din’s words came during the honoring celebration held by Hezbollah for the martyr Hassan Mustafa Nasser on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of his martyrdom, in the Ahl al-Bayt complex in the ward, in the presence of diplomatic, ministerial, parliamentary, political, party, religious and social figures, in addition to a crowd of people.
Ezzedine said, “No one, no matter how powerful, can weaken the Islamic Republic of Iran,” considering that Tehran has proven, through its steadfastness and steadfastness, that it has become “the main pillar of the regional system” and cannot be bypassed.
He pointed out that Iran pledged that Lebanon would be “a top priority in the Islamabad talks” so that it would be included with the region in the ceasefire decision, considering that those who “bet on separating Lebanon’s path lost and were defeated by their choices.”
He added that Iran did not present itself as an “alternative negotiator for Lebanon,” but rather sought to help Lebanon put pressure on the United States “to stop the hostile operations and remove Israel from our land,” stressing that it did not abandon its support for Lebanon and the resistance.
Regarding the US sanctions file, Ezzedine considered that the inclusion of officers from the Lebanese Army and General Security, along with representatives from the “Loyalty to the Resistance” bloc and officials from the Amal Movement, on the US sanctions lists constitutes “an attack on Lebanon and its security, military and legislative institutions.”
He described what the US Treasury Department did as “brazen interference in Lebanese internal affairs and an undermining of sovereignty,” considering that it aims to put pressure on the Lebanese authority and impose political conditions on it.
He also attacked the American position that followed the speech of Hezbollah Secretary General Sheikh Naim Qassem, considering that Washington “deals with the Lebanese authority as a tool that has no decision or will,” and that the statements of American officials represent “blatant and unacceptable interference.”
Ezz El-Din concluded by stressing that “the option of resistance and confrontation with Israel remains the least costly, no matter how great the sacrifices are,” stressing that what was achieved in 2000 and 2006 “will be achieved a third time,” as he put it.
