A large number of users reported typing errors, delayed response, and sometimes missing some letters during use. These problems directly affected the daily user experience, which relies heavily on quick typing in messages, mail, and various applications.
According to technical reports and user feedback, the main problem is that some key touches are not registered correctly, even though the pressure appears visually on the screen.
This results in missing or incorrect words being written, causing confusion during conversations or writing long texts. Some also complained of a slight delay between pressing and the letter appearing on the screen, which makes fast typing inaccurate.
The problem did not stop at the limits of entering characters only, but also extended to affect the Auto-Correction feature, where missing letters or registering them incorrectly leads to suggesting inappropriate words or converting the text into unintended wordings.
This made the typing experience less smooth compared to previous versions of the system.
Reform attempts
With the launch of sub-updates such as “iOS 26.4”, Apple indicated that it had improved the accuracy of the keyboard when typing quickly, in an attempt to address the problem of missing letters.
However, some reports still indicate that users need to perform additional steps after the update, such as resetting the keyboard dictionary, in order to fully improve performance.
Steps to solve the problem
Some experts advise users to try resetting the keyboard settings via the system settings route, as this will delete previous learning data and rebuild the word prediction system from scratch.
Although this procedure may reduce the accuracy of the suggestions initially, it helps improve performance gradually with use.
