Manchester City won the FA Cup for the eighth time in its history, after defeating Chelsea with a clean goal scored by Ghanaian Antoine Semenyu with his heel in the 72nd minute, during the final match held at Wembley Stadium in London.

Spanish coach Pep Guardiola’s team won its second title this season after the League Cup, compensating for its loss in the last two finals in the competition, becoming the first team to compete in the final for four consecutive seasons. On the other hand, Chelsea, which is ranked ninth in the league, failed to save its season and secure a continental place.

City entered the match after its weekly victory over Crystal Palace by 3-0, as it prepares to face Bournemouth next Tuesday, continuing its pressure on Arsenal, who leads by two points, two rounds before the end of the Premier League.

With this coronation, Guardiola raised his personal tally to 3 FA Cup titles, reaching his twentieth title in total with Manchester City since he took over the technical leadership ten years ago.
