Huawei is working on developing a new smartphone that may come with one of the largest batteries in the history of phones, with a capacity that may exceed 10,000 mAh, according to a new leak published by the well-known leaker, Digital Chat Station.

According to circulating information, the company has developed what is described as a new battery system along with an innovative material used in its manufacture, which may pave the way for the launch of a device that leads the market in terms of battery capacity.

Although the final number was not revealed, the leak indicated a capacity of “10,000 mAh+++,” which suggests the possibility of clearly crossing the 10,000 mAh barrier, according to what was reported by the “gizmochina” website.

These developments come as a number of Chinese companies, such as “Honor,” “Vivo,” and “Releme,” are moving to launch phones with huge batteries of up to 10,000 mAh, taking advantage of modern silicon-carbon technologies.

Currently, the Huawei nova 15 Max and Huawei Enjoy 90 Pro Max phones are among the largest within the Huawei group in terms of battery, as they come with a capacity of 8500 mAh with support for 40-watt wired charging.

The nature of the new material is still unclear yet, especially since Huawei is already adopting Silicon-Carbon technology in some of its modern devices, which is the technology also used in most phones with large batteries currently.

Experts believe that competition to increase battery capacity has become a major trend in the smartphone market, with rising power consumption as a result of artificial intelligence technologies, high-frequency screens, and advanced games, which prompts companies to develop solutions that give longer battery life without a noticeable increase in size or weight.
