Striking conclusions: "Mr." Summarizes the conversation about the next stage

In a tweet on his account, Representative Jamil Al-Sayyid commented on what he called conclusions from the meeting that brought together the ambassadors of Lebanon and Israel under the auspices of Donald Trump.

Al-Sayyid explained that the most important thing currently being discussed is extending the ceasefire for a period of three weeks, and arranging to hold a meeting soon in Washington between the President of the Republic, Joseph Aoun, and the Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, in addition to the proposal to cancel the boycott law against Israel and work with it to confront Hezbollah.

He also noted that this information does not include any clear reference to Israel’s withdrawal from Lebanese territory, believing that there is an attempt to persuade the Lebanese state and its political and religious leaders to support this plan.

These statements come in the midst of increasing talk about political and diplomatic movements related to the situation on the southern front, amid differences in narratives and information circulating about the nature of the ongoing contacts, while Lebanese official sources confirm that they have not received any official notification regarding direct meetings or final agreements.

This dispute shows the extent of the complexities of the current stage, as international pressures intersect with internal considerations, with continued tension on the ground and the absence of a comprehensive solution yet.
