Aoun sends reassuring messages to the people: "There is no fear for the army"

During his reception of a delegation from the Union of Saint Joseph University Alumni Associations, President Joseph Aoun stated that efforts are underway with various countries to end the ongoing war. He stressed that the Lebanese people are “aware and far from sectarianism.”

President Aoun continued, saying that the Lebanese army is “cohesive and has absolutely no fear,” explaining that its strength is derived from the people’s love for it, and that it carries out its duties assigned to it “with honesty, sacrifice, and loyalty.”

In a related context, President Aoun discussed with the Armenian Catholic Patriarch of the House of Cilicia, Raphael Bedros XXI Minassian, the general situation in the country, in light of the current developments, especially with the continued Israeli attacks on various Lebanese regions and their resulting effects.

In turn, Patriarch Minassian expressed his gratitude for the role played by President Aoun at this sensitive stage, stressing that popular support for him is “broad” in order to achieve the desired rescue operation.
