Macron: The consequences of war and the danger of weapons "Hezbollah" They require a solution

French President Emmanuel Macron launched an urgent initiative that included a series of statements about the repercussions of the increasing escalation in the region, and warned of the impact of the war in Iran on global energy markets.

Macron stressed the importance of resuming navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, stressing the need to stop the fighting in the Middle East region, even if for a short period, in order to allow diplomatic moves to take place.

He explained that targeting infrastructure and energy facilities represents a dangerous escalation that must be stopped, and called for the resumption of negotiations and the establishment of a direct dialogue between the United States and Iran on “energy facilities.”

He also announced that France will continue to use the strategic oil reserve in coordination with the countries concerned, with the aim of confronting the effects of the crisis on international markets.

Regarding the Lebanese issue, Macron affirmed France’s support for the Lebanese government, especially with regard to efforts to disarm Hezbollah, and stressed the need to preserve Lebanon’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

He addressed the situation in Iraq, calling for respect for its sovereignty, and holding all parties responsible for maintaining stability.

The statements of French President Emmanuel Macron come in light of the unprecedented escalation of the situation in the region, with the continuing confrontation between Iran on the one hand, and the United States and Israel on the other, which extended to include vital energy facilities and threatened the security of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, leading to a state of tension in global markets.

In parallel with this regional escalation, Lebanon is witnessing increasing pressure on the security and political levels, with the continuation of Israeli raids on various regions, especially in the south, the Bekaa, and Beirut, with the accompanying large waves of displacement and worsening humanitarian repercussions.
