In light of the current conditions taking place in the country, the Minister of Economy and Trade, Amer Al-Bassat, issued instructions to the inspectors of the Consumer Protection Directorate, calling for activating price monitoring and market control, especially with regard to necessary food and consumer goods.

The circular emphasized increasing the number of inspection visits to points of sale, ensuring that price lists are implemented and announced clearly, and organizing immediate violation reports against anyone who violates the instructions, with full cooperation with the competent authorities to ensure the effectiveness of the measures and speed up legal procedures.

Al-Bassat explained that any violation will not be tolerated, stressing that maintaining food security and the ability to purchase is a national responsibility in these difficult circumstances.
