Today, the Minister of Public Works and Transport, Fayez Rasamny, received at the Ministry’s headquarters a French delegation headed by the Special Envoy of French President Emmanuel Macron, Gérard Mestralier, as part of their official visit to Lebanon.
The discussions focused on the “India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor (IMEC)” project, where the opportunities available for Lebanon’s participation in this vital project were reviewed, given its strategic location that makes it qualified to be a major logistics station and an important sea corridor, in addition to an advanced service center in the field of maritime transport and logistics services in the Eastern Mediterranean, which allows Lebanon to be an active partner in this strategic project.
On another level, Rasamny met this evening with MP Hussein Haj Hassan, where they discussed development issues related to various Lebanese regions.
