Yesterday, while I was flipping through the pages and reading the writings on the blue giant “Facebook” while waiting for breakfast, I saw a “propaganda” video clip of the Beirut change representative, Ibrahim Mneimneh, in which he spoke about launching a unique video experience about Beirut’s heritage, specifically about the mosques in the capital, Beirut.
“Maulana Ibrahim Al-Khalil” seemed to be talking with passion and longing about this initiative that he launched on the occasion of the blessed month of Ramadan, so I said in my secret: “Oh, Glory be to God, my Lord… It is truly a month of miracles.” The Beirut MP who was defending gender and homosexual rights a few weeks after his election became interested today in Beirut’s mosques and informing Beirutis of their stories and details, and when? A few months before the elections.
Not only that, the inattentive representative turned into a lover and disciple of Dar al-Fatwa and of Mufti Abdul Latif Derian, after he had refused to visit him based on his rejection of “political sectarianism,” as he put it, as if he had been elected as a representative in the Lebanese parliament for the “Green Party” that supports the environment, and not for the Sunni sect!
Perhaps Maulana Bob realized that his chances of winning in the upcoming parliamentary elections (if they happen) using headlines and political slogans like the ones he raised previously had become difficult, so he turned to God Almighty and to the true religion… Perhaps this closeness to God will help him and provide him with a handful of electoral votes.
Even more than that, as it is said that Mawlana Bob will celebrate the last ten days of the holy month in the mosques of Umm al-Sharay’ in Beirut, praying… supplicating… raising his hands to God, that the sky may rain preferential votes and electoral results…
Oh God, you are my Lord, and what is in the heart of this poor servant is not hidden from you… Oh God, do not deprive him of your mercy.
