The Israeli military issued urgent statements stating that it may rely on the Navy to provide additional firepower in areas such as Lebanon or Yemen, especially if the Air Force is busy with operations against Iran or defensive missions inside Israel.

The army stated that the attack launched from its ship on Lebanon aimed to demonstrate the ability to target various sites in the Middle East region, pointing out that the raids that targeted Hamas and Hezbollah sites in Lebanon were carried out both by sea and by air.

He also added that the naval strike in Lebanon is a “clear message to Iran’s arms,” stressing that the goal of using various strike tools, whether from the air or the sea, is to increase operational flexibility and reduce pressure on the air force in the event of multiple fronts.

These statements come in the midst of rapid regional escalation and coincide with Israel’s focus on the Iranian file, which reflects, according to military estimates, a change in the “rules of engagement” and an expansion of the operational options available in the region.
