The Electricité du Liban issued an official statement stating that, in cooperation with the security forces and under specialized judicial supervision, it launched a campaign to remove encroachments on the electrical network in the period between February 10 and 12. This campaign resulted in the issuance of a number of reports in various regions as follows:
Beirut District: “25 reports”
Chiyah District: “29 reports”
Sidon District: “33 reports”
Wadi al-Zeina District (Iqlim al-Kharroub): “86 reports”
Chtoura District: “8 lecturers”
Rayak District: “6 lecturers”
Jib Jenin District: “8 lecturers”
Baabdat District: “1 minutes”
Barqayel District (North): “24 reports”
Zgharta District: “13 reports”
Thus, the total number of minutes organized during the past week becomes “233 minutes,” and this confirms the commitment of the EDL to preserve public money and ensure the proper performance of the electricity sector.
The Foundation added that it will regularly inform citizens of the results of its campaigns to remove encroachments, in accordance with established legal procedures.
