Four members of a displaced Syrian family suffered various injuries as a result of a horrific traffic accident, as their motorcycle collided with a car on the Batroun-Tannourine highway, specifically in the Ajdebra area.
The injured were urgently transferred to a nearby hospital to receive the necessary medical care, while the car driver fled to an unknown location, after leaving his car at the accident site.
The relevant security forces have begun a detailed investigation to determine the details and circumstances of the accident, while efforts are continuing to pursue the fleeing driver and reveal his identity.
Roads in the north of the country, especially important highways, witness frequent traffic accidents, often linked to reckless driving, exceeding the speed limit, or negligence in implementing traffic safety procedures, in addition to a high number of motorcycle accidents.
These repeated incidents re-launch calls to strengthen traffic control and activate the necessary measures to reduce hit-and-run accidents, as they represent a direct threat to the security and safety of citizens.
