In a scene that mixes the administrative threat of immediate eviction with a bitter social reality that does not guarantee the most basic components of a decent life, citizen Mohamed Ahmed Mansour finds himself facing two bitter choices: either becoming homeless on the streets or remaining in a house that threatens to collapse at any moment. It is the cry of a simple citizen who only demands a roof to protect his family… Is there an answer?
Mansour, who had previously spoken out and published a video showing the extent of the disaster he and his family are experiencing inside their dilapidated home, recently received a new immediate eviction notice from the Tripoli municipality. The official document indicates that property No. 269 in the Al-Suwaiqa area – Al-Bahsa locality, is at risk of sudden collapse, which poses a direct threat to the safety of residents and the public.
Speaking to , Mansour explained that a similar warning had been issued in 2024, but it was not followed by any actual measures or provision of an alternative location. He adds sadly: “Since then, I have been waiting for official action to end our suffering, but no one asked. Today the municipality is asking me to evacuate immediately…so where can I go?”
This man, who supports a family of five, confirms his inability to rent a new home, and refuses to see his children sleeping in a tent or on the side of the road. He says: “I don’t want anything big… just a place to cover me and my family,” and stresses that he will not leave his house unless a safe alternative is provided for him and his family.
In a voice filled with pain and anger, Mansour holds the responsible authorities fully responsible in the event of any harm, considering that merely issuing warnings without finding practical solutions is an evasion of bearing responsibilities.
At the end of his appeal via , Mansour called on the Municipality of Tripoli, charities, and the Higher Relief Commission to intervene urgently to provide alternative housing, before these paper warnings turn into a real humanitarian disaster.
Between an official document warning of danger and a living reality that closes all doors, the life of an entire family remains dependent on a decision… and hostage to neglect.
