In light of the escalation of concerns related to food safety, the Municipality of Tripoli intensified its monitoring procedures for food establishments, issuing arrest reports against a number of violators during a wide inspection campaign it carried out in the Abu Samra area.
The correspondent of the “Lebanon Debate” website reported that the health department in the municipality of Tripoli conducted a field tour that included sweets, cheese and dairy shops, supermarkets, and chicken shops. The tour resulted in issuing arrest reports against a number of institutions. Due to its violation of health conditions and non-compliance with food safety standards.
In the same context, the Municipality of Tripoli confirmed that its monitoring campaigns are continuing and will not stop, stressing its intention to continue its tours in the various neighborhoods of the city as part of its plan to strictly implement health requirements and maintain food security and the safety of citizens.
