Netanyahu is anticipating catastrophic scenarios that include US sanctions and a collapse in diplomatic support

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu acknowledged that Israel will not be able to continue receiving tens of billions of dollars in American security aid, considering that the United States has changed, and that stopping this support is a matter of time.

This came during a television interview conducted by Netanyahu with journalist Roy Katz on the Israeli Economic Channel 10; He called for the need for Israel to prepare for a new phase in its economic relations with Washington, explaining that it had previously succeeded in securing huge American aid, but its continued flow at the same levels was no longer guaranteed.

In a context related to future challenges, Netanyahu warned of the possibility of imposing sanctions on Israel, including banking sanctions, stressing the importance of preparing for such a scenario by building a flexible national economy capable of overcoming financial restrictions.

To confront these challenges, the Prime Minister announced that he is working on formulating alternatives that would enable Israel to circumvent potential sanctions, pointing to the possibility of employing currencies and modern financial technologies, including “blockchain” technology.

These statements fall within a broader vision that Netanyahu presented regarding the future of Israeli security and economy. He previously defended a plan to allocate about 450 billion shekels to strengthen defense capabilities and military industries over the coming years, with the aim of reducing dependence on abroad for the supply of weapons, according to what the Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper reported.

Netanyahu concluded by warning of the possibility of a future American administration that would be more hostile to Israel, stressing the need to diversify international alliances, in a directive that reflects his government’s strategy aimed at preparing for a possible decline in American support, coinciding with strengthening reliance on its own military capabilities.
