Secretary of the Iranian Supreme National Security Council, Mohsen Rezaei, raised the ceiling of threats directed against the United States and Israel, stressing that the Iranian armed forces have put a new response in readiness to confront any possible “adventure,” which he described as being “far more destructive” than previous operations.
In a post on the “X” platform, Rezaei considered that “the reckless rhetoric and repeated threats issued by American and Zionist officials do not change the reality on the ground at all,” indicating that the expected response will exceed in severity what he described as “the 12-day and 40-day wars,” in an escalatory message that confirms Tehran’s readiness to raise the level of confrontation if it is exposed to any new military movement.
Insinuating a change in military tactics, the Iranian official stressed that “the new Iranian operational plan will not follow the rules they have established,” without revealing further details about the nature of this plan or the mechanisms for its field implementation.
These threats come in light of the continued US naval blockade imposed on Iran and the escalation of the structural economic pressures that Tehran is suffering from, in conjunction with the continuation of mutual threats regarding the possibility of launching US and Israeli military strikes against the country.
