Air escalation over Saudi airspace: The coalition intercepts and destroys Houthi missiles and drones

Today, Friday, the Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen announced the interception and destruction of a ballistic missile launched towards the Saudi city of Yanbu overlooking the Red Sea. The operations also included the destruction of two cruise missiles over the Red Sea, in addition to three drones launched towards the southern region and the Riyadh region.

These developments come in the wake of warnings issued by the official spokesman for the coalition forces, Major General Turki Al-Maliki, in which he indicated that the Houthis had obtained advanced technologies with the support of regional parties, warning of the dangerous repercussions of this development on security and stability in the region.

Yesterday, Thursday, Major General Al-Maliki revealed repeated Houthi attempts targeting dozens of airports, oil installations and vital ports inside the Kingdom.

The coalition spokesman stressed that these attacks constitute a direct threat to regional and international security and stability, calling on the international community to assume its legal and moral responsibilities towards these escalatory practices.
