US President Donald Trump announced that he has accurate details regarding the circumstances of the outbreak of war in Ukraine, pledging to reveal them publicly at the appropriate time.
This came in statements made by Trump to reporters in front of the White House, in response to a question about those truly responsible for the start of military operations, where he said: “I know all the details related to the start of the conflict in Ukraine. Is that understandable and clear? And at some point I will reveal these details.”
Trump has previously confirmed on several occasions that the conflict would not have occurred if he had won the 2020 presidential elections, holding the administrations of former presidents Barack Obama and Joe Biden responsible for the escalation, and indicating that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is not seeking a true diplomatic settlement.
Recently, tensions have escalated between the two sides, with Trump stating that “the time has come for Ukraine to have a new president” capable of concluding a peace agreement and ending the war with Russia.
The differences worsened after Zelensky criticized the diesel deal that the US administration concluded with Moscow to reduce fuel prices in the United States. On the other hand, Trump accused the Ukrainian president of “wanting to cause problems for the world and American farmers” by continuing to target Russian oil refineries, considering that these attacks lead to raising global energy prices.
