Today, Friday, the city of Aden witnessed a missile escalation for the second day in a row, as the Houthis targeted Aden International Airport and its surroundings in the Khor Maksar District with four ballistic missiles.
Erem News Agency quoted local sources as saying that one of the missiles fell inside Badr Camp near the airport, while the powerful explosions that rocked the area caused material damage to nearby citizens’ homes, amid initial reports of civilian casualties, while a final toll of losses has not yet been issued.
This attack comes less than 24 hours after a similar bombing by the Houthis with five ballistic missiles, targeting the Yemeni government’s residence in the presidential palace in Ma’ashiq in the Sira District.
According to the Yemeni Ministry of Health, Thursday’s attack resulted in the killing of five members of the presidential complex’s guard and the wounding of 16 others, while the Yemeni Prime Minister and a number of ministers survived the bombing.
