Google launched its new artificial intelligence model, “Gemini 4 Argon,” intended for developers and companies around the world, in a move aimed at strengthening its intense competition with “OpenAI” and “Anthropic” in the market for developing specialized models.
The new model, according to what the company announced, is distinguished by its superior ability to implement complex and multi-stage tasks, especially in the sectors of programming, finance, law, cybersecurity, and science. This launch comes after months of structural changes within the “Deep Mind” laboratory of the American giant.
Regarding pricing, Google has set the cost of using the model via the API at $2 per million input tokens, and $10 per million output tokens, with these prices set to double as of next November 30.
In terms of availability, the model has become available to developers and institutions through tools for building artificial intelligence applications, while subscribers to the “Google AI Pro” and “Ultra” packages can access it directly through the “Gemini” application and the search service supported by artificial intelligence.
The company revealed positive results of model tests within the “Antigravity” programming tool, as work teams recorded an increase of more than 35% in code submissions by artificial intelligence agents, coinciding with a decrease in retractions by about a third.
In a related context, Google announced the expansion of the “Fairwind” cybersecurity program to include hundreds of new partners, in addition to providing a free six-month subscription to the highest category of the “Antigravity” tool for the benefit of 10,000 scientists.
