People’s health first.. The Ministry of Labor is involved in the Tannourine water crisis

The Minister of Labor, Dr. Muhammad Haider, issued a statement in which he confirmed that the Ministry of Labor is closely and seriously following the file of the “Tannourine Water” Company, against the backdrop of recent developments that led to the closure of the company by decision of the Ministry of Public Health, and the accompanying legitimate concern among employees, workers and their families.

Minister Haider stressed that the Ministry supports the decision issued by the Ministry of Health because of its importance in protecting the health and safety of citizens, stressing at the same time its full support for all workers affected by the decision, and its keenness to guarantee their rights and maintain their social and living security.

The statement explained that the Ministry of Labor is coordinating continuously with the Minister of Public Health, Dr. Rakan Nasser Al-Din, who stressed that the primary goal of the decision is to protect public health, stressing that he will not hesitate to take quick and fair measures to ensure that injustice is not caused to the company. The statement added that the two sides will maintain permanent coordination on this file, in order to preserve the dignity of employers, while emphasizing that the health of citizens remains above all considerations.

At the conclusion of its statement, the Ministry of Labor called on everyone to be calm and confident, stressing that it will continue to coordinate with the relevant authorities to take all steps to protect workers and ensure their professional and social stability.

The statement concluded by emphasizing that the interest and dignity of workers and employers remain at the core of the Ministry of Labor’s priorities, considering that standing by their side at this delicate stage is a national and moral duty that must not be compromised.
