“OpenAI” announced the start of rolling out the new generation of artificial intelligence models “GPT-6” for use in regular conversations in the “ChatGPT” application, including radical improvements in response speed, inference capabilities, and online search, in addition to a new interactive visual interface called “Intelligent UI.”
Under this update, subscribers to the “Plus”, “Pro”, “Business” and “Enterprise” plans will receive the “GPT-6 Sol” model directly through the main chat interface, with its access to enterprise accounts being subject to the settings of their administrators. On the other hand, the “GPT-6 Luna” model begins to be rolled out to users of the free and “Go” plans starting today. The new model replaces the “Latest” option in the list of models, while retaining the “GPT-5.6 Sol” model to give users the opportunity to compare the performance of the two models.
In terms of performance, the update focuses on reducing waiting time. The “GPT-6” model displays text on the screen instantly in conjunction with reasoning and processing, which speeds up the completion of complex tasks. “OpenAI” explained that the “GPT-6 Instant” model provides direct search results at a speed faster than the “GPT-5.6 Instant” model by about 44% on average, in addition to increasing the efficiency of the model in identifying questions that require up-to-date information, and enhancing the accuracy of answers and the reliability of their sources.
In addition, “OpenAI” offers an “Intelligent UI” interface that goes beyond traditional text answers to display information through visual and interactive elements. Under this feature, “ChatGPT” can generate interactive diagrams to review technical topics, provide tools to modify food recipes based on the number of people, or create custom tools within the chat such as bill split calculators without the need for external applications.
The company has begun gradually rolling out the new interface through the web version and updated “ChatGPT” applications for smartphones, while it remains temporarily unavailable in older versions of desktop applications for “macOS” and “Windows.” “OpenAI” provides users with the option to disable interactive visual elements and return to the form of traditional text conversations through the application settings.
