Tel Aviv claims responsibility and reveals the role of the person targeted in the Lebanese-Syrian border raid

On Friday, the Israeli army announced the targeting of Syrian citizen Youssef Ali Al-Hassoun in an air strike carried out on the Syrian-Lebanese border.

The Israeli army spokeswoman, Ella Wawiyeh, explained in a post on the “X” platform that Al-Hassoun was working under Iranian instructions to push the implementation of plans that targeted Israeli citizens and army forces deployed in southern Syria.

Wawiya indicated that Al-Hassoun was involved, over the past year, in attempts to carry out operations against Israeli forces – which were thwarted – and included launching explosive drones and rocket shells towards military sites in southern Syria.

The spokeswoman stressed that the Israeli army is continuing its operations “to eliminate immediate threats on all fronts,” stressing at the same time Tel Aviv’s commitment to the agreement concluded with Lebanon.

This announcement comes in the context of the escalation of Israeli military operations and movements in the border areas with Syria and Lebanon, in conjunction with the strengthening of the deployment of Israeli forces in the southern Syrian sector.
