Last Sunday evening, a security member from the Embassy Security Service found a dead body inside the guard room of the Civil Service Council in the Verdun area, after being shot in the head.
According to available data, the incident occurred while he was performing his night shift, when gunfire was heard, which was later revealed to have led to his death as a result of a direct injury to the head.
Immediately, the head of the Civil Service Board, Nisreen Mashmouchi, went to the site of the incident in conjunction with the arrival of the security forces, forensic experts, and the forensic doctor, where the body was examined, fingerprints were removed, and the item’s weapon was seized at the scene, before the body was transported to the hospital.
In the absence of the final official results of the investigations, informed sources indicated that the preliminary data do not rule out the suicide hypothesis, without conclusively resolving it, pending the completion of judicial and security procedures to fully clarify the circumstances of the incident.
