The new Egyptian Ambassador to Lebanon, Tamim Khallaf, arrived this morning at Rafic Hariri International Airport in Beirut, in preparation for officially presenting his credentials and beginning his new diplomatic duties in the country.
An official and diplomatic reception was held for the Ambassador in the Salon of Honor at the airport, where he was welcomed by the representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants, Counselor Ziad Koussa, along with a crowd of ambassadors, chargés d’affaires, and Arab diplomats accredited to Lebanon.
The reception witnessed the presence of a number of Arab ambassadors; They are: Ambassador of Qatar Saud bin Abdul Rahman Al Thani, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates Salem Fahd Al Kaabi, Ambassador of Yemen Abdullah Abdul Karim Al-Dais, Ambassador of Jordan Walid Al-Hadid, Ambassador of Palestine Muhammad Al-Asaad, and Ambassador of Sudan Ahmed Hassan.
The reception was also attended by the Chargé d’Affaires of the Egyptian Embassy Mahmoud Hamdi, the Chargé d’Affaires of the Iraqi Embassy Nada Majoul, the Secretary of Foreign Affairs at the Algerian Embassy Mohamed Tatoum, the Counselor at the Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman Salem Al-Barrak, and the Counselor at the Tunisian Embassy Hamdi Bin Othman.
Yemeni Ambassador Abdullah Abdul Karim Al-Dais delivered a speech on behalf of the Arab ambassadors and chargés d’affaires, in which he welcomed the new Egyptian ambassador, wishing him success in his upcoming diplomatic missions.
Ambassador Tamim Khallaf is scheduled to officially present his credentials during the coming period, after which he will begin his duties in an official capacity as Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to the Lebanese Republic.
