Huawei officially launched its new flagship phone, the Mate 90, in the Chinese market, relying on its advanced Kirin 9030 processor and the proprietary operating system, HarmonyOS 7, in a move that reflects the company’s continued strengthening of its technical independence and development of its own system in light of the American restrictions imposed on its access to advanced semiconductor technologies.
The phone comes with a 6.75-inch OLED screen, supports an adaptive refresh rate of up to 120 Hz, and offers wide storage options starting from 256 GB and up to one terabyte, coupled with 12 GB random memory.
Regarding imaging capabilities, the “Mate 90” includes a triple rear imaging system consisting of a 50-megapixel main camera, a 40-megapixel wide camera, and a 50-megapixel telephoto camera that provides up to 4 times optical zoom and up to 100 times digital zoom.
In terms of power and reliability, Huawei provided the phone with a huge 6600 mAh battery, which supports 66-watt wired and 50-watt wireless charging technology, in addition to the device enjoying high levels of water and dust resistance according to the “IP68” and “IP69” standards.
