Reducing the selling price and an unprecedented rush.. Google surprises the markets with an early reduction of a phone "Pixel 10a"

Google has raised the price of its low-cost smartphone, the Pixel 10A, by $100, to $599, only 7 months after it was launched on the market.

This decision comes in the context of a general wave of rising prices of smartphones and consumer electronics, resulting from the continuing rise in costs and shortages of memory chips, according to Bloomberg.

In the same context, the South Korean company Samsung raised the prices of most Galaxy S26 phones this week by $100 as well. Last month, Apple also witnessed the launch of the “iPhone 18 Pro” and “iPhone 18 Pro Max” phones at prices higher than previous models, in addition to raising the prices of older “iPhone” models.

It is noteworthy that Google’s low-cost phone, the Pixel 10A, came with limited improvements compared to its predecessor, the Pixel 9A, and relied on the Tensor J4 processor that the company launched two years ago.

In contrast, the flagship “Pixel 11” series devices include the company’s latest processors, allowing significantly better camera specifications and performance. Prices for these models start at $899, up to $1,899 for the basic foldable Pixel 11 Pro phone.
