Samsung breaks the 7-month silence and ignites the prices of the Galaxy S26 series

Global technology giants, Samsung and Huawei, are preparing to raise the prices of their upcoming smartphones during the coming period, against the backdrop of rising production costs and the global electronic chip shortage crisis that has led to an increase in the prices of memory chips used in consumer devices.

In this context, the Korean website “Hans Economy” reported that “Samsung” has notified its local distributors in South Korea of an increase in the prices of all models of the “Galaxy S26” family of phones by an average of 149,600 won (about 112 US dollars), starting from the first of next October.

According to this increase, the price of the basic model of the “Galaxy S26” phone will rise from 1,254,000 won (about 934 dollars) to 1,403,600 won (about 1,046 dollars). The “Galaxy S26 Plus” phone will also see an increase in its price to reach $1,194, compared to $1,082 previously, while the prices of the “Galaxy S26 Ultra” model will rise from about $1,340 to $1,451.

On the same level, the well-known Chinese tech blogger “FixedFocus” expected, via the Chinese “Weibo” platform, that the expected “Huawei Mate 90” series of phones would witness noticeable price increases.

The technical blogger indicated that the outfit will target the leading versions of the new family, specifically the “Mate 90 Pro Max” and “Mate 90 RS” phones, at a rate of about 1,000 Chinese yuan (equivalent to about 150 dollars).

In the same context, the account explained that the upcoming Huawei phones will come with random memory (RAM) options ranging between 12 and 20 GB, without revealing further details regarding the internal storage capacities or color options of the new devices.
