The head of the Arab Tawhid Party, Wiam Wahhab, praised the vital role played by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its relevant agencies in dealing with the security incident that occurred on Fly Dubai flight No. (FZ1073), stressing that this intervention contributed to saving the plane and sparing the region serious repercussions.
In a tweet posted on his account on the “X” platform, Wahhab explained that the Saudi move prevented “a major dilemma and critical situation” that would have been imposed by the plane’s downing, noting that the incident almost fueled a new wave of hatred against Arabs worldwide in light of the current regional circumstances. He concluded by saying: “Thank you, Saudi Arabia.”
The details of the incident are due to the Flydubai flight heading from Dubai to Tel Aviv announcing an emergency change of course and landing at Tabuk Airport in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, following a security incident on board.
According to the story announced by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, one of the pilots stabbed his colleague and attempted to shoot down the plane, before a passenger and a member of the plane’s crew were able to control him and restore balance, at a time when the Saudi authorities immediately dealt with the accident and began investigations into its circumstances.
