The Syrian Ministry of Interior announced the foiling of a sabotage plan in the Yarmouk Basin area in Daraa Governorate, accusing a cell linked to Hezbollah of being behind it.
The Syrian News Agency (SANA) reported that the Internal Security Forces, in cooperation with the General Intelligence Service, carried out a pre-emptive security operation that resulted in the arrest of three members of the cell.
The Ministry explained that investigations and monitoring showed that the cell members were seeking to equip missile platforms with the aim of launching attacks aimed at destabilizing security and stability in the region.
The security services confirmed that the missile platforms had been completely dismantled, noting that investigations were continuing with the detainees in preparation for referring them to the competent judiciary.
