The General Directorate of State Security celebrated the graduation of the “Sword of the Nation” course for trainee officers, at the conclusion of the military and behavioral training course held at the Internal Security Forces Institute in Aaramoun. The ceremony, which was organized by the Directorate’s Information, Guidance and Public Relations Department, was attended by representatives of the security and judicial services, along with a number of officers and trainers.
The celebration included military displays, including a display of forces and the graduates taking the oath of office, in addition to presenting a simulation of various security missions carried out by an elite group of male and female graduates. It concluded with the exchange of commemorative shields and a cocktail party to mark the occasion.
In his speech, Brigadier General Youssef Al-Shediac, representing the Director General of State Security, Major General Edkar Lowndes, confirmed that the selection of the new elements was based on criteria of competence and merit. Al-Shidyaq called on the graduates to fully adhere to the law, and to work to protect the prestige of the state away from any abuse of power, with the need to keep up with modern security work methods, especially in the anti-corruption sector. He also drew attention to the efforts of the State Security Command aimed at developing the security and administrative sectors, and enhancing health and social care for military personnel, retirees, and their families, recalling the sacrifices of the martyrs of the directorate and various security agencies.
For his part, the Commander of the Institute, Brigadier General Ahmed Abla, representing the Director General of the Internal Security Forces, Major General Raed Abdullah, delivered a speech in which he stressed the importance of training in preparing a security man who combines professional competence and respect for humanity and the law, stressing that the disciplinary behavior of the military contributes directly to enhancing citizen confidence in security institutions.
The dropping of the curtain on the “Sword of the Nation” course and the graduation of the trainee officers culminate in the stage of military and behavioral preparation and upbringing, paving the way for them to engage in the field and carry out their national tasks in accordance with the training principles and strict standards set by the directorate’s leadership.
