Recent software leaks revealed the features of the next generation of the economic iPad, which Apple intends to launch during the spring of 2027, including fundamental upgrades in performance, memory, and the communication system, as well as support for artificial intelligence technologies.
Data extracted from the company’s codes indicated that the upcoming device will be based on the “A19” processing chip, supported by a random memory (RAM) with a capacity of 8 GB, in a qualitative leap compared to the current generation, which operates with an “A16” chip and a random memory of 6 GB.
Thanks to these advanced specifications, the new version will be able to support the “Apple Intelligence” feature package, in addition to an advanced version of the “Siri” voice assistant that relies more on generative artificial intelligence techniques.
In terms of connectivity, the leaks indicate that the device is equipped with a “C1X” modem to support fifth generation (5G) networks, in addition to the modern wireless communication chip “N1” that provides support for “Wi-Fi 7” and “Bluetooth 6” standards, as well as “Thread” technology for smart hogars.
Until now, Apple has not officially announced the final price of the device, but preliminary estimates indicate the possibility of the price starting from at least 499 US dollars, higher than the price of the current generation of 449 dollars.
