With the start of the new school year and the return of students to school, private education centers are witnessing a noticeable decline in the number of enrollments, amid increasing financial pressures burdening families as a result of the rise in school fees and the costs of evening lessons that aim to help students continue their educational attainment and complete their homework.
In this context, information from the “Lebanon 24” website revealed a sharp decline in the demand for these centers, amounting to about 45%, as a large number of parents refrained from registering their children in them. This has led many families to completely dispense with private education services or to begin searching for less expensive alternatives to ease the burden of living.
The prices of educational services vary from one center to another, and vary according to the educational stages, as the estimated monthly fees range according to the educational sequence as follows:
- Primary stage (from first to sixth grade): It ranges between 100 and 150 US dollars.
- Intermediate stage (seventh to ninth grade): It ranges between 200 and 250 US dollars.
- Secondary stage (from first to third secondary school): Ranging between 300 and 400 US dollars.
