The stages of the organized return of displaced Syrians from Lebanon to their homeland continue, within the framework of the Lebanese government plan implemented by the General Directorate of Public Security in cooperation with international and humanitarian organizations.
In this context, this morning witnessed the launch of the nineteenth phase of this plan, as the gathering of displaced people toured the starting point specified at the “Rashid Karami International Fair” in the city of Tripoli, in preparation for their heading towards Syrian territory through the Public Security border center in “Al-Masna”.
This phase was conducted in joint coordination with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), the International Organization for Migration (IOM), the Lebanese Red Cross, in addition to a number of other humanitarian bodies.
This stage is an extension of the series of previous stages implemented by the Lebanese government, amid continued close coordination between General Security and the concerned authorities to ensure the organization of the return path.
