The meeting dealt with the latest political developments in the region in addition to the situation in Lebanon, especially in the south, the continuation of British support for the Lebanese army in order to carry out the tasks assigned to it, and the need for a complete Israeli withdrawal from southern Lebanon.

Salam received a delegation of economic bodies headed by former Minister Mohamed Shuqair, who said after the meeting: “We held a fruitful meeting with the President of the President, at the beginning, we wished him all the best, and we confirmed our full support for him and all the national positions he undertakes.
During the meeting, we touched on a number of important topics, most notably the subject of the end of service, because all companies suffer from this issue. We have made clear that we knew how important this file is, especially if the country is still standing on its feet thanks to the private sector. Today, we asked to deal with us as a private sector, as happened with the two cellular companies “Alpha and Touch” regarding the subject of patents,
We also touched on the issue of Rayak Airport and we demanded that there be an airport in the Bekaa, where we wished that this airport would be done as happened to the Qaliaat airport, and the President asked us to prepare a study on the issue, and we will within a week to present this study.

The meeting also dealt with the compensation fund and the financial gap, as we talked about the topic of the commercial registry in Baabda, which unfortunately is still closed. As for the last topic, it is related to privatization, as the state’s country explained the details of the law related to it, and we hope to find solutions to all the issues that we have raised, and we promised his country to follow up on all issues. ”

He also received a delegation from the Lebanese coalition for transitional sovereignty and justice headed by the former deputy Mesbah Al -Ahdab, who said after the meeting: “We came to confirm our standing alongside the state of the Prime Minister, who today has become a symbol of the state of law and justice in the face of the fait accompli that allows institutions. We from here denounce the systematic campaigns that the President is exposed to from the abuse, slanders and insults aimed at breaking the prestige of the presidency.
This site is not broken, because it represents Lebanese legitimacy, and its breaking is a break of the presidency of the Republic and the presidency of the House of Representatives and all state institutions. It became clear that the function of this weapon is no longer the compromise of Israel, but rather has become controlling the Lebanese decision and its use as an Iranian negotiating card.
