Google, a subsidiary of the Alphabet Group, has launched new Google Book devices for pre-order, an innovative category of laptops intended for Android users, combining artificial intelligence technologies with the company’s Gemini model.
Prices for the first models of devices start at $899, and are produced by Acer, Asus, Dell, HP, and Lenovo. These computers rely on processors from Intel or Qualcomm, with a battery that lasts up to 14 hours.
This launch comes at a time when the laptop market is witnessing intense competition, coinciding with Apple’s entry into the low-priced devices sector with the “MacBook Neo,” whose price starts at $699.
Google Book devices combine the performance of laptops with artificial intelligence capabilities, in addition to full integration with the Android system. It provides Gemini tools to support the user in writing and organizing texts, answering queries related to the content displayed on the screen, as well as completing tasks that the user has previously started on his smartphone.
The new devices rely on integrating Android features with the office functions of Chrome OS, allowing users a seamless experience while moving between smartphones and computers.
