The Bank of Lebanon will wait for the right time

An official financial source pointed out that everything that is said about the printing of banknotes of 500 thousand, a million pounds, and 5 million pounds is not currently for several reasons:
First: The political dispute that was reflected in a legislative dispute, so that the laws that were approved in the last session will not be issued due to the lack of recitation of the record, as noted by the Vice -President of the House of Representatives Elias Bou Saab. If the leave law of Lebanon does not issue printing in the Official Gazette, the law will remain frozen and incomplete.

Second: Even if the law is issued, the Bank of Lebanon will wait for the appropriate time for the issuance of banknotes in succession and not at once, in order to preserve the stability of the national currency and for fear of any inflation.
The source pointed out that the Central Bank will collect large quantities of current banknotes from the market before offering the new editions.
