The bombing coincided with Israeli drones flying over the airspace of the south, reaching the Damascus countryside.

Since the beginning of the year, the Observatory has counted 99 Israeli attacks on Syrian territory: 87 air strikes and 12 ground strikes. The strikes resulted in the destruction of about 135 targets, including weapons and ammunition depots, headquarters, centers, and vehicles, and the killing of 61 people, including 30 from the Department of Military Operations and the Ministry of Defense. The Observatory also documented about 500 Israeli air strikes on Syrian military sites since last December.
