The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division issued the following statement:
A citizen claimed in front of the Sidon neighborhood police station in the Regional Gendarmerie Unit that her minor daughter (born in 2012, Lebanese) was subjected to sexual harassment by a man in his fifties.
Through the investigation conducted by the aforementioned police station, it was found that the defendant had worked to lure the minor for about a year and a half, taking advantage of her presence in his home, as his wife gave her private lessons daily, and he was returning her to her family’s home after the end of the educational session, taking advantage of his privacy with her, so he carried out harassment until he began communicating with her via the “WhatsApp” application and asking her to send Scandalous pictures, and he went so far as to take advantage of her when she came to his house and her teacher – that is, his wife – was not there, so that he could take advantage of the situation at the expense of childhood.
The harasser (born in 1977, Lebanese) was arrested.
He was referred to the Sidon Judicial Detachment in the Judicial Police Unit, to expand his investigation, where he admitted to exploiting the minor, luring her, having sexual relations with her more than once, and deflorating her, which was confirmed by the forensic doctor’s report. Knowing that he repeatedly threatened her not to tell anyone, but she overcame her fear and terror and told her mother about what she had been exposed to.
The legal requirements were carried out against the detainee, and he was referred to the competent judiciary, in accordance with his advice.
