The biography of his life
Blessed Maloyian was born in Mardin on April 15, 1869, in a humble house feed in the spirit of prayer. His beginnings were sponsored by the Bishop Malakoun Naqari, who quickly touched his genius and his deep faith, and he sent him to the monastery of a woman in the Patriarchate Zammar in Keserwan – Lebanon in 1883. There, the roots of his spiritual life were established, and his priestly call on the light of the word of God.

Bishop Maloyan was distinguished by his sanctity and wisdom, so he combined spiritual care and social work, until he deserved the appreciation of the same Ottoman Empire, which gave him high medals. But the destiny wanted the crown of the earth to the crown of the sky: on June 11, 1915, amid the Nakba of the Armenian Magr, the bishop, with priests and believers, would have been made to the path of martyrdom. He refused to deny Christ, so he dedicated a medal that does not go away, he is the Medal of Blood and Certificate.
His march began in 1966, and culminated on October 2, 2001, when Saint Pope John Paul II declared him utopically in a solemn celebration in St. Peter’s Square in the Vatican, where his name increased in the university’s universal record as a witness of truth and love.
Today, the Church enters a new stage of spiritual joy with the sanctification of the Bishop.
According to the Public Relations Officer of the Armenian Catholic Patriarchate, Charbel Bastouri via “Lebanon 24”, the celebration will take place in two phases: the first in Rome, and the second in Lebanon.
