Representative Abdel -Rahman Al -Bazri warned of the dangers of delay or manipulation of electoral dates, and pointed out that “continuing to convey responsibilities between the concerned authorities may lead to hitting the upcoming democratic entitlements, especially with regard to the expatriate elections.”

He stressed in an interview with “Voice of Lebanon”, that “the current election law is marred by many gaps and really needs to amend and modernize, but this matter should not be an excuse to postpone the elections or evade its benefits”, and pointed out that “the law is not only the distribution of seats and numbers, but also includes voting mechanisms and the need to remove political money from the electoral process.”
He criticized “the performance of the government and not learning to experience the recent municipal elections,” considering that “the executive authority has not done what is necessary to ensure the success of the upcoming entitlements.”
Regarding the voting of expatriates, Al -Bazri revealed that “a group of deputies, among them, signed a law proposal aimed at giving expatriates the right to vote similar to the residents,” noting that “the presence of obstacles that may object to this trend must be remedied quickly, otherwise the expatriates will be forced to come to Lebanon to cast their votes, which means increasing costs and complexing the electoral process.”
