
The Office of the Minister of State for Technology and Artificial Intelligence, Kamal Shehadeh, launched a series of workshops on digital transformation, led by the strategic partner “Roland Berger”, a global strategic consulting company.
These workshops aim to accelerate the agenda of updating the Lebanese economy by taking advantage of the power of advanced technology, artificial intelligence, and international best practices. The sessions collected senior advisers and work teams from the Ministry of Technology and Artificial Intelligence, as well as consultants and teams from the Ministry of Economy, in close cooperation with experts from Roland Berger. Participants worked to draw a map of the current digital capabilities in Lebanon, and identify Understanding challenges, developing practical strategies to enhance competitiveness, transparency, and ease of business. The basic focus areas included: digitization and business, corporate registration, smart licenses, empowerment of small and medium enterprises, and investment promotion platforms. The workshops also aimed to define fast -implementation services that could return directly to citizens, companies, and entrepreneurs, while ensuring compatibility with the National Digital Infrastructure Initiative (NDI) led by the Ministry of Technology and Artificial Intelligence. The Minister of Revoning and Minister of State for Technology and Artificial Intelligence Dr. Kamal Shehadeh said that “the economic transformation in Lebanon requires bold and innovative thinking”, stressing that “Merging artificial intelligence and digital tools in government services, the basis for a modern, transparent and competitive economy that enables companies and provides opportunities for citizens.” For his part, the Minister of Economy Amer Bastat pointed out that “the ministry is committed to reform and modernization,” pointing out that these workshops “re -conceive services, starting from facilitating trade to the support of small and medium enterprises, in a way that contributes to reducing The bureaucracy, the promotion of intellectual property rights, the protection of consumer, and the attracting investments.
